hello everyone! i'm doing a video on empties today! i had used up quite a lot of products recently. i want to get rid of these empty containers asap. i'd quickly do a video and tell you more about them. you'll get to know what i had been using, whether i'll re-purchase them (or not!), and, whether they are worth the price. please stay tuned if you want to know more! i'll separate all these products into different groups,
since i have them all on my desk now. i'll begin with the makeup remover. and i have several items here. you might have seen this one before: it's svr cleansing micellar water pure & mild. i feel that the texture is similar to bioderma micelle solution. it's not greasy, and can removes makeup thoroughly. it's a decent product. will i re-purchase it? i think so.
another product i'd emptied is an eye makeup remover. the micellar water i mentioned does not remove much of eye makeup products. if you have any waterproof mascara, waterproof eyeliner, or, oil-proof items, this micellar water cannot remove them! the waterproof makeup could be dissolved very slowly, but i don't have time for them. lol i'll have this for removing face makeup. and i'll use a dual eye makeup remover on my eyes. this is a japanese brand called excel. i got this bottle in japan.
after my trip to japan, i found this brand in some of the sasa stores in hong kong. you may take a look there. this is a dual eye makeup remover for getting rid of the makeup products on eyes and lips. this one is ok-ish. it does the job. it takes a bit of time and rubbing (gently) to get everything off. it's not greasy at all! will i re-purchase it? both of them are nice. so it's a yes.
here's another cleansing item. on my lazy days, i'll remove my makeup with hydropeptide cleansing gel. i'd get 6-7 pumps onto my palms, and massage the cleansing gel onto my face, without getting my hands or face wet. i'd keep my eyes shut when doing so. if i get too much gel into my eyes, they might get irritated. then, splash some water onto my face -- and the gel will be lathered up. i'd massage my face for a short while. rinsing off the gel with water, and all traces of makeup would be gone,
including all the waterproof and oil-proof makeup. i'll use this cleansing gel on some lazy days, or, when i'm tired, and want to get everything off asap. i'll re-purchase this one, for sure! then, it's a new brand to me -- i haven't talked about it. paula's choice. i bought it on lookfantastic. paula's choice moisture boost one step face cleanser, normal to dry. i don't think i'll buy this item again.
it's just like a "normal" cleansing product in the market. i don't find anything special about it. i don't see any difference on my skin after using it. i finished and will not buy it again. and now, the skincare products... i'd finished two bottles of serum, namely... md skinical b3 serum. if you have been following me on my social media, you might have known that i had got two massive acne spots here.
this serum did help me to knock out the blemishes. i didn't have much left before -- now it's empty. definitely i'll re-purchase it. for any one who has got acne-prone skin, this serum will improve the condition of your skin. it helps to shrink the pimples and reduce inflammation. i can't stop raving about this serum. i had finished this as well: sarah chapman intense hydrating booster.
this serum would retain hydration. i talked about this serum in a previous video. it does a good job in keeping the moisture in my skin. for the price of it... and it's pricy... i'd prefer some other products in the market. no, i won't re-purchase it again. it's a nice product though. and now... are you ready for it? zkin relief moisturizer... 3 empty tubes of them!
mr. honey finished them all! he's got some skin allergies around his armpits, which could be caused by a deodorant he used before. it was bad -- his skin was red and swollen, and it was itchy. it got even worse because of sweating. he tried other products and they didn't help. i suggested him to put on some zkin relief moisturizer, as this product helps to repair skin, it is easy to be absorbed into the skin, and not sticky. he's been using this for a month.
it helps -- no more redness, and it is not swollen anymore. when he gets sweaty, he's got some tingling feelings... but it's all good. he's stocked up this moisturizer at home, he told me that he'll keep using this until he's recovered. he only uses this on the skin in and around his armpits. he had finished these 3 tubes, and has 2 more tubes to go.
if you'd like to know more about this moisturizer, i made a video on zkin products before. i'll put a link to this video in the info bar below. feel free to take a look at the video. this moisturizer is for someone who's got sensitive skin, or, who's got other issues such as eczema. it can help to repair skin. you can use it on your face as well as your body.
it's a very effective product -- and i decided to have this brand in my store, as i was having some allergies and it did help me! i'd like to apologise for the lighting today. i'm using natural light today and it keeps changing. and now... i had finished a whole tube of makeup base! it's a big deal for me to finish any makeup product, no matter it's a makeup base, a foundation...
or, even, an eyeshadow, or a blush... it's a big deal! i finished this: by terry hyaluronic hydra-primer it's a moisturising makeup base, and i've talked about it in a monthly favourite video. to keep it short: it's not greasy and moisturising, and it provides a smooth canvas before i apply on my liquid foundation. will i buy this makeup base again?
if i finish all other makeup base i have at home, i certainly will do so! i have other products on hand right now! it's a lovely product, a quite nice primer... particularly during this time of the year, due to the changes of weather and humidity. i like it for its hydrating ability, and it isn't greasy at all. and i'd finished a spray too. i'd got this when travelling to japan: minon amino moist... it's a facial mist spray.
it's a very fine mist. it feels good, moisturising, and... it's long-lasting! some of the facial mist seem not to do anything... if i don't have any makeup on, and stay home with the aircon on, i feel that this mist gives me enough hydration... even after an hour or two! if you're travelling to japan, get a smaller size and give it a try! and... i've got another zkin product here.
i finished this on my own: soothing hand cream. i love this hand cream!! let me tell you how i finished this tube: i don't wear socks sometimes, i've got some blisters on my feet they were itchy, ... and filled with fluid... ... pretty gross, weren't they? after putting on this cream,
the itchiness is gone, and it speeds up the recovery. that's why i also put this hand cream on my feet. a customer of ours has got scaly skin in his/her feet. he/she had sought help from different md's, and the skin problem still persisted. and this customer decided to give this hand cream a go, as it can help to heal and repair our skin. and, it is not greasy at all,
unlike some heavy foot balm. we won't be bound to a chair! we just give it a few minutes and let the cream sink in. this customer put the cream onto his/her feet, and it does help him/her! i followed his/her advice after i've got these issues on my feet... it's very nice. big thumbs up! certainly i'll re-purchase this, will do so when i'm in store next time. next, i'll talk about haircare products. for haircare products...
these 3 are the same thing: they're elvis+elvin sea salt scalp purifying anti-dandruff shampoo. why do i have 3 empty containers of them now? i have been using it, and only once, or twice, a week. mr. honey **only** uses this shampoo now!!! only this, as a daily shampoo!! we could finish a jar pretty soon because of this. he might even use it twice a day. what makes this shampoo so good?
this shampoo contains some sea salt scrubs in it. apply the shampoo on the wet hair, and it does a massage and scrub onto the scalp and into the hair at the same time. he feels that it makes his hair very clean after rinsing with water. and, upon blow-drying his hair, it leaves his hair some air and volume. he likes this shampoo very much! since his hair gets a bit longer than usual, he doesn't want his hair to look flat and stick to his scalp. this shampoo gives his hair the airy and light look -- that's why he likes it!
if you've got oily hair and scalp, you might use this shampoo once every 2 days, or even, every day. it can cleanse your hair and scalp thoroughly. or else, if you have dry hair type, or dry scalp, this can be used as a deep cleansing shampoo. you can use it once or twice a week to deep cleanse your hair follicles. your hair will become healthier-looking. it also helps to remove some chemical residues left in your hair and scalp when using other products.
i see a difference in my hair after using this shampoo, but i do see an even greater difference in his hair! he uses it every single day! i also like the way it feels when i massage the shampoo onto my scalp. it feels great! and i feel that my hair is lighter after that. nice! i finished this bottle of hair conditioner on my own. this is elvis+elvin rose conditioner. the texture of this conditioner is rather light.
it leaves my hair a bit shiny and soft, but my hair won't become greasy and sticky. i like the texture, and the benefits it gives me. it's easier to brush through my hair. my hair gets some shine back, and i can see some volume here. it isn't greasy, and i feel good. i'll keep using this. i'm now having my 2nd bottle.
i have a bunch of bath products to follow. i'll keep it brief and swift. so... i'd finished these bath products. all of them are from origins. i used the products from origins a long time ago, and haven't revisited for a while. i wanted to get some bath products, and here they are: gloomaway and ginger burst. both of them smell great.
it isn't over-drying. i'd apply on body lotion after though. it does a good job in cleansing, and isn't greasy at all. if you've got dry skin, like i do, you might find it a bit drying. and need to put on some body lotion after shower. i might re-purchase them later on. this one was recommended by their ba: i was told that it's very aromatic. calm to your senses lavender and vanilla body cleanser
it can be lathered up easily. it does smell great! the scent is very, very nice. but -- when comparing betweem these 3 body wash, this one is way too over-drying! i did feel my skin getting a bit drier after using these 2. after having my shower with this, before i could apply on any body lotion, my skin became a bit flaky, and i felt itchy all over my body. if you've got oily skin, it'd be okay.
for someone who's got drier skin type like i do, avoid this body wash -- the itchiness was unbearable! this is a present from a friend: bath and body works. we don't have this brand in hong kong. it's available in thailand and usa. it's bath and body works cashmere glow shower gel. i like the products from bath and sh... ... bath and shower gel???
bath and body works! lol first of all, i like the scent! my skin feels a bit dry after shower, but it won't get flaky. having some body lotion on will help. both mr. honey and i enjoyed this shower gel a lot! and, just a note: mr. honey and i use these bath products together. we can finish them within a short time, for we both have our showers twice a day, especially during hot summers.
this one is mr. honey's favourite: ginger orange shower gel from sabon. personally i find it ok-ish... i feel that it's a tiny little bit drying for my skin type. you can definitely give it a go, and it doesn't contain any sls or parabens. it's made of some natural ingredients. the aroma is also nice and refreshing.
and now... chanel! foaming shower gel. i bought it because of the scent. i like the scent. it's just a shower gel and i won't expect much. i also find it a little bit too drying for me. i'd use this shower gel on the days that i felt exhausted. it's pricy and i would't use it every day. they have one in pink and this in green.
if you'd like to get yourself a more luxurious bath product, this can be a nice choice. just remember to apply on some body lotion after shower! and a body scrub: peter thomas roth anti-aging buffing beads for face and body. i'm alright with the scrubbing beads, but i wouldn't use this scrub on my face because the beads are quite concentrated and a bit too harsh. it's fine to have it on my body.
it's ok... -ish. there's nothing too special about it. my skin does feel smoother afterwards. it isn't greasy and doesn't contain oil. it removes the dead skin. will i buy this product again? hmm... its scent isn't special or very appealing to me... no, i don't think i'll re-purchase it. body lotion
from l:a bruket, the one with the scent of bergamot. this brand carries both shower gel and body lotion. they contain seaweed, and are made of natural ingredients. and the shower gel -- oh i need to get a new one -- my skin feels silky smooth after using it! this body lotion is very nice too! it's light, and provides enough hydration to my skin. after the body lotion has sunk into my skin, my skin becomes very, very smooth...
and i'd feel the same on the day after! i like it! it's a very, very good choice! if you don't like using body lotion and find it too greasy, or, don't like the way it feels on your skin... you could give this a try. this lotion is easy and quick to be absorbed in, and it won't get sticky. you'll feel that your skin is re-hydrated till the next day. we'd finished some scented candles and fragrance too.
this one is jo malone pomegranate noir you might have known how much i love this scent! mr. honey likes it too! it's a very fresh floral scent, and i find it a bit girly. if you haven't tried anything from jo malone, and you like some fresh and floral scents, give it a sniff in their store. they also have this scent as a fragrance.
it's nice both as a fragrance and a scented candle!! and i'd finished 3 bottles of jo marlone fragrance. i didn't wear these perfumes in last few weeks only. i had opened quite a few of them, and when i have all these bottles on my shelves at home... i decided to finish them all, and, i will buy new fragrances, or those fragrances i like later! i have got some classic scents here. ah.... let me begin with this one... mr. honey finished this bottle of perfume:
velvet rose and oud. it's a woody scent and rather intense. i find that the jo marlone fragrances in a black bottle are usually more intense. mr. honey seems like to like it a lot. i won't talk too much about it -- since i didn't wear it! i finished these 2 bottles: this one is earl grey and cucumber -- this is a fav of mine, particularly in summer time! it's very refreshing.
if you aren't a fan of floral and/or woody scent, give this fragrance a try! another classic here: lime basil and mandarin. for someone who knows nothing about the fragrances by jo malone, they'll recommend this scent to you in their store! both of these scents are rather fresh. if you want to try some scents without floral tones, give one of these two scents a go and see how you feel. both of them are nice choices.
and... i got this a while ago: jo malone... hmm, which season was it? never mind... anyway it's a limited edition. it was a set of 4 or 5 fragrances... in a green bottle like this... most likely... a collection for spring and summer? they've got so many collections, and i can't remember them all! this one is.... hmm... ... i can't really read the texts on the bottle here...
i'll put the name in the info bar below. ... hmm... lemon?? lemon and thyme?? this one... hmm... the scent is sooooo fresh! i wish jo malone would make this scent in their regular line. i like some lemon-y scent, such as this one... on some very hot summer days, spritz this... and i feel that i'm refreshed! and, the last item of today... yay, we're almost there!
it's a fragrance by fresh. sugar lychee eau de parfum. hmm... perhaps i'm too used to the refreshing scents by jo malone... i found this a bit too intense for me. it's quite long-lasting, smells decent... but a bit too strong for me. it's still nice. if you find the fragrances by jo malone too mild for you, and don't like something too overwhelming,
and are looking for something in between... a scent that is not too strong, but a bit different from others in the market, you might give the fragrances by fresh a try. they should have something for you. sugar lychee is a nice choice too. i'm going to end this empties video soon. i hope i've provided some useful info to you, and you've had a good time seeing this video. if you haven't subscribed to my channel yet,
